How It Works
Learn how to create perfect synchronized viewing experiences in just a few simple steps.
Set Your Reaction Video
Start by adding your reaction video. You can use a direct URL (like YouTube) or upload a local file.
- Click on the Reaction Video section
- Choose 'Direct URL' for YouTube links or 'Local File' to upload
- The video will load automatically once added
Connect Streaming Service
Set up your content video with a supported streaming service: Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Crunchyroll, or Prime Video. (The Chrome extension is required so the app can talk to the player.)
- Go to the Content Video section and choose Streaming Service
- Pick your service in the dropdown
- Click Open to launch the streaming window or tab
- The app connects through the extension and syncs playback with your reaction
Set Sync Points
Use Enhanced Sync Points to line up your reaction with the show. You can add a quick point from playback or enter times precisely.
- In Enhanced Sync Points, use Create Precise Sync Point and fill Reaction Time, Show Time, and Description, then Add Precise
- Or use Add Sync Point in Master Controls to capture the current playback times in one click
- Optionally pick a color so points are easy to spot on the timeline
Use Master Controls
Once both videos are loaded, Master Controls drive playback. The sync lock (padlock) ties both videos together or lets you adjust them separately.
- Master Controls show when your setup is ready to play
- Use play/pause and the timeline to move both videos together when sync lock is on
- Use skip and rewind / fast-forward for larger jumps
- Click markers on the timeline to jump to sync points
- With two local files, use the Layout control in the header for side-by-side, stacked, or picture-in-picture
Enjoy Synchronized Viewing
Everything is now set up! Your reaction video and streaming content will play in perfect sync, creating an immersive viewing experience.
- Both videos play simultaneously and stay in sync
- You can adjust sync points anytime if needed
- The timeline shows the duration of the streaming content
- All controls work seamlessly across both videos
