Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about React Sync—how it works, subscriptions, sync tools, and more.
React Sync is a tool that allows you to watch a reaction video and the original content perfectly synced together. It removes the need for manual countdowns, pausing, or trying to align videos on your own.
You load a reaction video and connect it with the original content from a streaming platform or a local file. React Sync keeps both videos aligned using syncing tools such as timestamps, offsets, and master controls.
Yes. You must have your own active subscription to the streaming platform you are using. React Sync does not provide or host copyrighted content; it simply syncs playback with your account.
Some creators offer exclusive full-length reactions. Access is limited to active members (via Patreon or other memberships), and a password or login ensures that only eligible users can view that content.
Sync Lock ensures that both videos stay perfectly aligned at all times. When enabled, any interaction—such as play, pause, or seeking—keeps both videos locked together, preventing them from going out of sync.
React Sync includes tools to quickly fix this:
- Sync points (jump to key moments)
- Offset adjustments (fine-tune timing)
- Master controls (resync both videos instantly)
Sync Points are preset timestamps created by the creator or user. Clicking one will instantly align both videos at the correct moment, making it easy to jump to key scenes or fix sync issues.
Master Controls allow you to control both videos at once. This includes play, pause, and skipping forward or backward while keeping everything aligned in real time.
Yes. You can choose from different layouts such as side-by-side, picture-in-picture, or top/bottom. Future updates will include additional themes and customization options.
At the moment, React Sync is designed for desktop use. We plan to develop a mobile app in the future for a more seamless mobile experience.
Due to licensing restrictions, React Sync cannot host movies or shows directly. Instead, it connects to platforms you already use so you can watch content legally.
React Sync is built for reaction content creators, fans who want a seamless watch-along experience, and anyone who wants to avoid manually syncing videos.
Yes, but it requires a bit more manual syncing. When ads play, your content will pause or shift, so you’ll need to resync the videos each time the ad ends using sync points or controls.
This mostly comes down to how different creators choose to handle copyright.
Some creators include full footage or extended clips, but that often falls into a legal gray area or depends on how their content is edited, disputed, or managed behind the scenes. It’s not always consistent, and policies can vary by platform and over time.
For us, we’ve chosen to take a fully compliant and long-term approach. We don’t host or include full episodes or movies directly. Instead, React Sync works alongside your own streaming subscription so you can watch the content legally while staying perfectly synced with the reaction.
This not only protects the platform and our content, but also ensures we can keep building and expanding React Sync without running into copyright issues down the line.
